Hazardex: The Journal, provides the hazardous area marketplace with its own dedicated publication. Launched in 2002 to coincide with the staging of the first Hazardex event, its editorial content echoes the material presented in our conference by focusing squarely on the issues affecting the safe installation and operation of plant & equipment within potentially explosive atmospheres.
It is the original and ONLY International magazine giving quality editorial opinions & case studies specifically for the hazardous area market.
'The Journal' is aimed at Engineering Managers & Board members identified as having operational responsibility for their company's hazardous areas. It is clearly 'sign-posted' for ease of use and carries a mixture of industry news, legal & technical articles, new product items and application stories.
Issue by issue updates on all the developments surrounding the European ATEX Directives, the evolvement of the global standards IECEx and CEN, Hazloc, CENELEC, GOST, CSA, IECEE, IECQ, fire safety regulations, IEC standards as well as SILs and functional safety IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
Supported by many of the leading organisations involved in this important sector of industry, and with a combined distribution of some 40,000 engineers, this specialist publication has become recognised as a unique and invaluable source of hazardous area information.
PPTex: Launched in July 2018, is a complimentary, quarterly supplement to Hazardex with its own additional circulation to SHE/HSE specialists involved in selection / equipment for worker safety.
Personnel Protection Technologies (PPT) are equipment incorporating electronic and technological systems that the user can wear, hold or use to minimise hazards at work.
PPTex serves those individuals and companies where personnel are at risk in their working environment, typically in high hazard industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Transport, Manufacturing and Distribution.
Like Hazardex, PPTex will focus mainly on hazardous area environments where there is explosion risk, but will also cover other major hazards in the workspace such as confined space, working at height, lone worker communication systems & environmental monitoring.
